Large Machining Capacities for manufacture of complex shafts:
When we were approached by a Blue Chip Chemical Company regarding the complete manufacture of a complex 13' Crude Crystalliser Drive Shaft, 6 other sub-contact machining companies had already declined the work or failed to provide the necessary qualification documents. The shaft weight was nearly a tonne and included a complex welding and a 3' long taper at the drive end.
Pinnacle Re-Tec was able to pull together all the requirements for the complete manufacture of the shaft, involving procurement of forgings and creating of pre-fabrication and machining drawings. Specialist welding, heat treatment and CNC grinding processes were utilised in order to achieve the part requirements. Our own production plan was strictly adhered to and we managed to deliver in time for a planned major shutdown.
