Machine Operators

We are extending our machine shop and are looking for experienced, preferably time served, machine operators. The machines they would be using can be quite versatile, lathe/borer, milling machine, grinder and slotter. All of the machines are manual, i.e. we have digital read-out but no CNC. This means we need any applicant to have a lot of experience and ability with the more traditional operation of machines.
We do welcome applicants who have CNC capability on top of that, but it is no requirement. The experience we are looking for is mainly with the manufacture of parts for rotating equipment such as shafts, sleeves and impellers and the ability to work on more than one type of machine.
The successful candidate needs to have a desire to deliver perfect work and take much pride in what he does. A great degree of confidence in the own abilities will help maintain a reasonable speed of work.

Office Administrator

After encouraging growth throughout the last couple of years, we have well and truly left the start up phase behind us. The volume of work has increased and in turn, each team-member has to specialize. This leaves a raft of activities that we would like to hand over to somebody who can take a sensible approach to a wide range of activities, from simple to complex: organizing travel, seasonal customer communication, corporate gifts, setting up meetings and interviews, car fleet issues, general office needs from paper to desks, rental agreements, PPE requirements, insurance matters, grant applications and and and….
The more we can concentrate all of these activities in one set of capable hands, the better. It is a part time job, but very important to the smooth and efficient running of the company and we need somebody who is comfortable making good common sense decisions and doesn’t need to be micro managed..
The successful candidate needs to have some administrative and managerial experience, be disciplined and a self starter. The work hours are flexible, so it’s a perfect position for someone with existing commitments that don’t fill the whole day, who is looking for a challenge.
